It all started on April 4th, 1985, when Janet Lynn's Bistro opened its doors in Market Village, right in Kitchener, Ontario. Co-founders Janet Lynn Leslie and Kevin Wong shared their love of great food and warm hospitality - and quickly became a cherished part of the Kitchener-Waterloo community. Now, 40 years later, we're proud to celebrate four decades of unforgettable meals, meaningful connections and the people who made it all possible. Both Janet and Kevin's legacy at Janet Lynn's Bistro still continues and inspires our community every day.

Today, the legacy of Janet Lynn's Bistro continues through the dedication of Nelson Zepeda, owner and head chef of JLB. Chef Nelson has been part of the JLB team for the past 30 years, beginning his journey as a dishwasher at just 14 years old. Under the guidance of co-founders Janet Lynn Leslie and Kevin Wong, he developed his skills in the kitchen and continued to grow within the restaurant. Chef Nelson strives to share his passion and creativity for food with the community.
